DESCRIPTION:Before our doors were closed in March 2020 because of COVID, the Marigny Opera House supported more than 190 local performing artists, with an average of two donation-based performances a week. All donations were split, with the artists receiving at least 60%, and the Marigny Opera House Founation, at most 40%, to cover our expenses.\nNow our doors are open. We’re back to the business of putting our local artists onstage. Since last November we’ve presented chamber music, jazz, songwriters and more. And the resident Marigny Opera Ballet is back. Our New Orleans Jazz Nutcracker was an instant hit when it premiered this past December.\nSupporters like you made this comeback possible. Thank you!
