Join us for the following talented groups, in order of performance:\nNew Orleans Sacred Harp\nEos Chorus\nThe Hummingbirds\nJay, Ray & Gee\nNo Quarter\nNew Orleans Sacred Harp: New Orleans Sacred Harp is a local group practicing the American tradition of shape-note singing. The group gathers to sing twice a month, and singings are open to all.\nThe Hummingbirds: Conceived on the hot deck of a dive boat near Timbalier Island in 2007, The Hummingbirds took a full 7 years to complete its set. They’ve been producing shows and performing across Louisiana for near a decade, employing their modular quartet framework to maintain consistency of music if not personnel. They have honed their craft across the myriad stages and beverage counters in New Orleans. Foremost, they enjoy presenting cameos in productions which feature the spectacular diversity of skill and talent available in this state.\nJay, Ray & Gee: The group originated in June of 1994 on the corner of St. Louis & Royal Streets in the French Quarter of New Orleans. The original members were the founder, manager, & musical arranger Jerome Alexander (Jay), Raymond Marshall (Ray), & George Hunter (Gee). The group has had 14 total members over the years, including Avist Martin & Mycartery Groce, and has traveled to The United Kingdom, Ireland, & Kosovo; as well as appeared in the Paramount motion picture “Double Jeopardy.” You can hear the guys singing in Dickie Brennan’s restaurants to visitors from around the world.\n\n\n\n\n
