It is a guided improvisation practice and a celebration of nonsensical play. DIDIDADA prioritizes accessibility and silliness to give your mind, body, and spirit a sparkly mega boost through a variety of multidisciplinary exercises. It is about release, getting back into our bodies, grooving to a good song, and simply dancing for the joy of moving. Instruction is provided for the entirety of the class through hyper warm ups and playful prompts. Some call it a brain break. Some call it a waking up game. Tightly bound to identity, Coco Villa leads an interdisciplinary art-research practice, heavily influenced by analog photography and dance, investigating relations between body, object, and landscape. Their movement practice is informed by Caribbean and contemporary dance styles, dance fitness, somatic movement practices, and self proclaimed rituals. Driven by play and curiosity, Villa thrives in the darkroom, dance studio, dye studio, film set and library, near the ocean, in the woods, playfully creating by hand.\n\n\n\n\n\n
