A classical string quartet program featuring works from Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Montgomery & Bolcolm.\nConnecting ghostly voices of the past with the rhythmic pulse of the present, Delachaise Ensemble returns since their last successful performance, as the December musical accompaniment for Marigny Opera Ballet’s WINTERLIGHT!\n“Apparitions Between Worlds” begins with Mendelssohn’s dynamic String Quartet No. 2 Op. 13. Beethoven’s death in 1827 influenced young Mendelssohn as he wrote this piece the same year. Montgomery’s “Voodoo Dolls” was commissioned for a ballet featuring pieces on traditional children’s dolls, and is inspired by West African drumming, chant, and folk music. Finally, Bolcolm’s “Three Ghost Rags” present playful and whimsical vignettes that peer into a lighthearted haunt.\nArtists – click here to read all their bios!\nMoises Cunha – Violin\nElizabeth Cunha – Violin\nCatherine Matushek – Viola\nJake Fowler – Cello\n\n\n
