As a subscriber, you have a choice of date for each of three productions in the 2023/2024 season. All performances are held at 8PM, with house doors opening at 7:30PM.

Subscriber benefits include:
-First access to comfort seating (late arrivals forgo this access
-Advance notices and information about upcoming performances
invitations to certain special events at the hall
-Switch attendance dates up to one week before performances, or until dates are sold out
-As part of your subscription purchase you will be asked a series of questions on the Eventbrite platform to confirm your subscription dates. A MOH staff member will also reach out with advance info, notifications and can follow up to confirm dates.

This program commemorates this range of artists and their creative connections within and outside the Marigny Opera Ballet, in one seamless and striking evening. As you twist the Kaleidoscope, new color combinations and harmonies play like light through our own [recently restored] stained glass windows. Dance, music, spectacle and a light show to boot.

New Orleans Jazz Nutcracker

A holiday fantasy set in Jackson Square, the New Orleans Jazz Nutcracker features a fortune-teller, tourists, a drag queen and more, along with Clara – a young woman transported to the Land of Rain, and back again on Christmas day.

Featuring choreography from Ballet Master Jarina Carvalho and a score by Jazz pianist Lawrence Sieberth, this program is based on the original Tchaikovsky.

Agua Mole, Pedra Dura – Brazilian Connections

A program of two works choreographed respectively by Jarina Carvalho and Diogo de Lima. A journey through the complex, quick and diverse rhythms, the smooth styles of Brazilian music from 19th century on. Guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Geovane Paiva Santos will compose the scores and lead the ensemble. This program’s title [soft water, hard rock] comes from a Portuguese proverb honoring perseverance, necessary for ten seasons of great dance and music.
