Cellist Jeanne Jaubert: Diverse Duets (and a Tiny Trio)

Diverse Duets (and a Tiny Trio) features Ravel’s masterpiece for violin and cello duo, flanked by several shorter duets each featuring cello in combination with different instruments:bass, harp, clarinet, viola, percussion, and toy piano. The compositions explore divergent musical viewpoints, from the mystic minimalism of Arvo Pärt to the Appalachian stylings of Edgar Meyer, to the cool Nordic funk of Svante Henryson.
