Join us for an evening recital of classical and jazz piano with Dominic Stewart-Guido! Dominic Stewart-Guido is a pianist from New Orleans, Louisiana. He has been learning music in various forms since a young age. As a child, he learned about music in his weekly music classes at school and through participating in activities such as drumming and stilt dancing. He took percussion classes into high school, which helped to form the basis of his musical studies. His musical journey really took off, however, when he began taking private piano lessons with his classical teacher, Dr. Hezekiah Brinson Jr, and his jazz piano teacher, Mr. Oscar Rossignoli, through the Ellis Marsalis Center for Music. He also attended NOCCA’s jazz department, directed by Mr. Michael Pellera. Having recently graduated high school, Dominic is preparing to attend the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he will continue to study music through lessons and performance opportunities available at MIT and in the greater Boston area.
