Sarah Quintana and Anna Laura Quinn invite you to join them in their shared dreamworld of song. As “Les Deux Qs,” Sarah and Anna have built a show that both features each of their unique musical personalities and also allows those personalities to overlap, bringing their voices into beautiful harmony and surrounding the listener in rich sonic textures. “Les Deux Qs” is a collaboration that will surprise and delight you with its humor, emotional honesty, and a certain “je ne sais quoi!”
“Sarah Quintana’s an amazing artist that has been creating music here in New Orleans for several years now, releasing several albums regionally to much acclaim. She is a singer-songwriter, can pick up a guitar and execute her various influences from living in culture-rich South Louisiana. It’s a composite of Jazz, Folk, Cajun and even some French from her living abroad. Sarah is roots music with the amazing tinge that only New Orleans and south Louisiana can supply. She’s a regular on the festival circuit from Lafayette to New Orleans including Jazz Fest, French Quarter Fest, Festivals Acadiens and more. This month, Sarah Quintana announces the Spring release of her new album BABY DON’T 2025 featuring an all-star lineup of New Orleans musicians: Rose Cangelosi, Rex Gregory and Chis Beroes-Haigis. Quintana presents new music recorded with this ensemble at the iconic Dockside Studios in Lafayette, Marigny Studios, and in various shotgun-apartment living rooms across New Orleans. On BABY DON’T, Quintana’s aesthetic is a testament to her ability to embrace her roots as a New Orleans musical musician and songwriter while cultivating her own sound. Inspired by 1960s Louisiana music and culture, Irma Thomas, Shirley & Lee, Beausoleil avec Michael Doucet, and Bobby Charles. With themes of friendship and resilience, BABY DON’T showcases Quintana’s commitment to preserving and advancing Louisiana’s musical culture and heritage.
