The Marigny Opera Ballet presents a premiere of original Brazilian song and dance for two spring weekends!
A program of two works choreographed respectively by Jarina Carvalho and Diogo de Lima. A journey through the complex, quick and diverse rhythms, the smooth styles of Brazilian music from 19th century on. Guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Geovane Paiva Santos will compose the scores and lead the ensemble. This program’s title [soft water, hard rock] comes from a Portuguese proverb honoring perseverance, necessary for ten seasons of great dance and music.
