
Musaica presents Music From Around the World
Musaica Chamber Ensemble begins its 12th Season with “Music from Around the World,” a program including a string quartet by Malaysian composer and former UNO professor Wee Kee Brody; as well as “Rumi Settings,” a duo for violin and viola by Augusta Reed Thomas, inspired by the works of the 13th century Persian Sunni poet; and a trombone quartet by Dutch composer Saskia Apon. The concert will also include works by Caroline Lizotte and Clara Schumann, and will feature the Allegro from Louise Farrenc’s Piano Quintet in A minor.
