An Evening with La Diva

Opera House debut. Join the charming and willful Adelina Patti, La Diva, first of her name and most famous operatic star of the 19th century, in an intimate concert of her extensive repertoire. From her personal theatre in Wales, Ms. Patti trills, charms, jibes, and recounts her life from child prodigy to superstar. One-woman show written and performed by Katherine McClain with collaborative accompanist, Raymond Yee.

Katherine McClain is a vocalist, actress, voice over artist, and Louisiana native whose career has spanned the country. During her years in NYC, she was featured in several new works including THE BURNT PART BOYS (Barrington Stage Company), PICNIC AT HANGING ROCK (Lincoln Center Workshop), ONLY CHILDREN (Frederick Loewe Foundation), and ATONEMENT (Elizabeth Swados). In Louisiana, she performed with Tulane Summer Lyric, Southern Rep Theatre, The National WWII Museum, and Jefferson Performing Arts Society, winning a Marquee Award for her performance as Agnes Gooch in MAME, a JPAS Spotlight Award for Outstanding Actor, and was part of the Big Easy award-winning choral production, MONTEVERDI VESPERS OF 1610 at the Marigny Opera House. She is a founding member of professional vocal ensembles Crescent Chamber Artists and Krewe du Voix. Katherine developed AN EVENING WITH LA DIVA through her work with Louisiana History Alive.
