Weddings & Events at the Marigny Opera House
Housed in a beloved former church and now a home for the performing arts, the Marigny Opera House welcomes weddings, private celebrations, and community events.
Each rental directly supports our mission as a non-profit arts organization, helping to sustain performances, artist residencies, and cultural programming in the heart of New Orleans.

Venue Policies
To preserve the historic integrity of the Marigny Opera House and ensure a smooth experience for all weddings and events, we ask that all clients, planners, and vendors follow these policies:
Open flames are not permitted. We welcome the use of high-quality faux or LED candles for ambiance.
Amplified music is permitted on a case-by-case basis. All amplified performances must be approved in advance by the Director of Operations.
No drinks may be served or consumed in front of the building or on the public sidewalk.
The piano is not to be moved, covered, or used to hold décor, drinks, or personal items.
Nothing may be affixed to the walls, doors, or structure of the building using tacks, screws, nails, adhesives, or other hardware.
Confetti must be biodegradable. Glitter, glitter bombs, and glitter-embedded attire are not permitted inside or outside the venue.
Easily airborne materials such as pampas grass, feather reed grass, or similar dried florals are not allowed due to air circulation and fire safety concerns.
All weddings must engage a professional planner or coordinator from our Approved Planner List. At minimum, Event Coordination services are required and must be confirmed no later than 60 days before the event.
These policies are in place to protect the building, ensure guest safety, and maintain the beauty and mission of the Marigny Opera House as a home for the performing arts.
